What is Legifax?

LegiFax is a web application allowing members of the public to communicate with their state elected officials on matters before the General Assembly. When a constituent visits Legifax, they are asked for their name and address. Based on the information provided Legifax determines who their elected officials are, and presents the constituent with a form letter they can customize. The letter is then faxed or emailed to their State House and Senate members and to the Governor and Lt. Governor.

Partners

LegiFax is designed to be used by your organization to mobilize your supporters to contact their elected officials. The core Legifax software is rebrandable and can be made to look like it is part of your website. You can create and manage your own campaigns, and the data collected is available for you to download, subject to the constituent’s privacy settings.

Partners have the ability to approve messages to be sent out, so an opposing organization cannot hijack your campaign for its own agenda.

Campaigns

LegiFax supports multiple simultaneous campaigns on different bills or issues. Each Campaign will show up on the Partner’s Alerts Page. Partners can send out email blasts to their members and supporters directing them right to the campaign.

Facebook Integration

Legifax is designed to work with Facebook. When a user visits your campaign via facebook we pre-populate as much information as we can from the user’s profile. Once the user has finished their message, they are given the opportunity to invite their friends in Georgia to write their legislators too. In addition a note or status update can be posted to their Facebook page.
